Cisco 6506 keeps powering down because it says I have a Fan Tray 2
Hi Experts,
I have (2) 6506 chassis with (1) 1300W DC PS and a (1) Regular fan tray in each. When I power Chassis 1 on with a SUP2 the log at boot up says that it will initiate a power down in 300 seconds because the power supply is not compatible with the fan tray 2. If I take the same equipment (fan Tray, PS and SUP2) and put it into Chassis 2 everything boots fine. It will warn me in the log at bootup to make sure the fan tray and PS are compatible, but it never initiates a power down. The problem seems to lie in Chassis 1 because no matter what combination of fan and PS it initiates a power donw.
Has anyone ever had this issue before? I have searched the internet but cannot find anything that duplicates this issue. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt
