are you able to boot into safe mode?  if you are, suggest you look at removing all the hardware that was in the original machine along with the drivers and try rebooting again.

try replacing the existing scsiport.sys file with one which has a different version & date stamp.
u can use an earlier version http://i.e. win2k sp1 or

u can download "Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 sp4 version2" from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=B54730CF-8850-4531-B52B-BF28B324C662&displaylang=en&displaylang=en

when u unzip this file u will find a newer version of scsiport.sys

Hi,
Which version of converter are you using? Try to see if you can download an older version of VMConverter and retry the operation.

I suggest that you use an Imaging Tool such as Acronis True Image or Norton Ghost to clone the physical server to an image and then use VMware vConverter to convert the Image to a Virtual Machine.
