PoE

Hi,

I am getting a flood of messages on ethernet port with the follwing description:
%ILPOWER-5-IEEE_DISCONNECT: Interface Fa0/44: PD removed
Cisco says 'no action' is required in response to thses messages. Is there anyway I can stop them?

Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

All this means is that a power device has been disconnected from the switch so Cisco is right and there is no action needed.

If you are worried about these messages filling up your log server then you can change your logging level.
