Flash Map Overlay

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help point me in the right direction to create a Flash application that can provide sales data as a map overlay.  Similar to how Google analytics provide a flash based map to overlay website visits.  This type of overlay works perfectly to provide a snapshot of where the majority of your visitors are coming from.

I have been asked to research with the intention to create a flash application that would be used to overlay our sales for a snapshot of which country is bring in more sales.  There are numerous sets of data that this would be used for but first pass would be combined sales data.

I wait in anticipation for some direction be it examples or tutorials.
