ASA upgrade with failover

Hi, i have 2 ASA in failover ready/standby. I need to update the IOS and i know i have to upgrade the secundary ASA, reload, and then make no failover active to make it the ready and will upgrade the other ASA. But... if i have my secondary upgraded can i make "no failover active" ? becouse... when the ASA primary have older version from the secundary.. can i make the failover too?.
Thanks.

Here is how I upgrade a pair of ASA's.

1.  Copy the new ASA Image and ASDM to Flash on both ASA's.
2.  Set the boot statement on the primary/active ASA - boot system disk0:/<newsystemimage>
3.  Set the ASDM location on the primary/active ASA - asdm image disk0:/<newasdmimage>
4.  Save the config on the primary/active ASA - wr mem
5.  Reload the primary/active ASA - reload
6.  Telnet to the secondary ASA (now active as it failed over).
7.  Reload the secondary/active ASA.
8.  The Primary ASA will come up as Primary - Active running the new image.
9.  The Secondary ASA will come up as Secondary - Standby running the new image.
10. Done.
