How to create virtual com port delphi?

Hi I need to create a program where I can create virtual COM ports by software, something just like Eltima serial port emulator.
How can achieve virtual com port creation by software, I don't want to use any third party component, I will only accept an answer with source code.

Thanks

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I think that's a very tough question that is well beyond Delphi programming. You should add a lot more zones about windows OS and COM hardware/software if you ever want a solution.

I am a strong supporter of Eltima Software myself, I had occasions to even have them on the phone to add some features requested by some of my clients in their solutions, and have been very pleased with their support. The price they ask for their outstanding products is very acceptable, and frankly I don't think you will be able to beat their many years of development to overcome all the various considerations you need to handle to make such solutions work on all windows flavor, with all applications. Even with the help of all ExEx.

I just want to insert COM port redirection for one of my applications, it does not need to be like Eltima's, what I want is to know how to create 2 com ports where whatever I send data to one of them the other is capable of receiving, I don't want to compete with eltima,

I thought you might say that. nevertheless, add more zones to your question, and see what comes out of it. I think there are more experts dealing with that kind of things in C++.

I remind also there are some free solutions that are not as good as eltima, that could do the trick. Do you really need to know how it's done and don't use 3rd party components or dll ?

you can take a look at this

HW VSP 2.3 is free and create a Virtual COM port and redirect input/output to TCP/IP port.

And ultimately, if you want to do it, you can check that GPL project
http://com0com.sourceforge.net/

and convert it in Delphi

but having downloaded the source code, even if I'm fluent with C/C++ and Delphi, I would start such work if I did not have months of vacations in a desert island.
