How do I archive off data in Great Plains 10 by year?

Our accountant told us he knows that past years in Great Plains can be archived off the system, which will help us trim down our accounts lists.  I have not been able to find any information on how to remove an entire year from Great Plains - is there a way to do that?  Thanks.

There is really no way to do this yourself without a huge amount of research and testing.  There is a product available that will do this for you, called Company Data Archive: http://profad.com/products/cda.htm.

Thanks much - we'll check it out (it let me download it without any conditions or payment - is it freeware?)

It is not free.  It will most likely work with the sample company (Fabrikam or The World Online) for free, but will not work with your live company without registration keys.  That's a pretty typical model for GP add-in software.
