Bookmark / Add to Favorites / Toolbar Only

Hello.  We have a "Bookmark Us" button on our site.  When the user clicks this, we need a way to have the site added to the bookmark toolbar or favorites toolbar automatically.  Has to be the toolbar, not the menu.  Or both.  Is there a way to do this using Javascript / jQuery?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Place the following script into your <head>section in the page where you need it:

<script type="text/javascript">

function bookmark_us(url, title){

if (window.sidebar) // firefox
    window.sidebar.addPanel(title, url, "");
else if(window.opera && window.print){ // opera
    var elem = document.createElement('a');
    elem.setAttribute('href',url);
    elem.setAttribute('title',title);
    elem.setAttribute('rel','sidebar');
    elem.click();
}
else if(document.all)// ie
    window.external.AddFavorite(url, title);
}
</script>

Next, place the following code in order to show the link that opens browser's bookmark window:

<a href="javascript:bookmark_us('http://your web link goes here','title goes here')">Bookmark us!</a>

That is all! You have now a full working bookmark us script

After testing, this only works in Firefox and displays a dialog box asking for specifics (as far as bookmark placement, etc.).  Is there a way to have it automatically added to the browser toolbar without a dialog box?

After researching, it appears there is no way to add bookmarks by bypassing the browsers' prompt box.
