Supress Duplicate Sub-Reports in Crystal Reports 2008

Is it possible to suppress a sub-report if it itself is duplicated, I know you can do this with the individual line items for the reports. But I am unsure if this can be applied to the entire sub-report.

My sub-report is linked to two fields on my main report
1: Part Number
2: QuoteItemID

the yellow box is my actual sub-report and the red are the sections that I do not want to display if the data from the main reports is the same (i.e.: Part Number)

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What section is the subreport in?

Is the main report reporting on data or using information from the subreport.

The sub-report is in the Details section, what I am attempting here is to show the quantities with their respective part number. If the part number is the same I am suppressing all duplications, which is why I don't want the sub-report to display multiple times.

I am suppressing the Fields, I am also suppressing Blank Sections as well. But since the sub-report is duplicating that criteria is not being met.

You should be able to suppress the subreport or the section based on the same criteria you are using for the fields.

That is my problem, I do not see an option anywhere on the sub-report to suppress if duplicate. Also, as you can see in my image the suppress blank sections is not working due to the fact that the sub-report contains data for those sections that I am attempting to hide.

You can't suppress if duplicate for a subreport.  However on the first tab you can suppress based on a formula which would be something like

{Field} = Previous({Field})
