How do I install a driver using Visual Studio?

I have a C# windows application that relies on a custom C++ driver I wrote in order to function.  I am now trying to create a Setup Project that will install that driver and I cannot figure out how to enable that option.
I just need to have the setup project fire off a custom action that installs the driver - can somebody please help?

If you are using Visual Studio Setup Project for installation then you probably can write a custom action which installs driver by means of DIFx API (Driver Installation Framework).
But I suggest using WiX+DIFx for creating a setup package. It gives full control over installation process. There is some guidance in the following article:
