Where is the Bing Maps/photos cache

Hi Experts.  I am using a Bing Maps Control in VB.Net/WinForms, not on a website.   Can someone please tell me where Bing Maps/photos are cached on the local machine and how I would save the cache for use offline?  Also, does anyone know any details of the cache?  Sizes, how long kept etc.  Many Thanks in Advance

This control -

There doesnt seem to be a function in the control to control the cache which is why I was looking for the way that Virtual Earth itself handles its cache

Based on my research, it does not support cache. The browser may cache some content though.

Based on the documentation of the control, it seems like it is simply a windows wrapper around an html page with the Bing Map control inside it. (Bing map was previously also known as Virtual Earth Map control). This control is as java script control, and it is the java script that actually downloads the appropriate map images (256 by 256 pixels image tiles) based on the current  location and the zoom of the map. whether these images are cached or not depends on the browser and the browser settings.
here is a link that might be helpful for image caching in internet explorer:
