"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I'm sure they have their own protection, but I wouldn't rely on anyone other than myself for system protection.  There are many reports of infected docs with their service.

What do you mean reports of infected docs? Aren't documents accessed via web interface and shared on line? i.e. they are not downloaded to your PC as such.

Sorry, I was referring to redirect links on Google's pages which after doing some reading appear to be a result of a PC that was already infected.

It doesn't appear infections from the service itself are anything to stress over.

Further research done elswere, confirms Google docs does not present an increased risk of virus infection. This assumes the browsing PC has good virus protection in the form of a link scanner.
