I left out a lot of code but the message is get is :

 Run-Time error '-2147024770(8007007e)'
Automation error
The specified module could not be found

My code errors out when it gets to this part

Sub Oracle_Logon()
    Set oSession = CreateObject("OracleInProcServer.XOraSession") ' errors out when it gets to this line
End Sub

I found the problem it was my oracle client install, i was missing some providers.
Could you perhaps tell us what you are trying to achieve?
If you need to update drecords in an Oracle table, you can use ADO to do so.

I need to pull records from oracle into an excel sheet.  I didnt think i needed to include all the code, because i cant even get the connection started.  I have a select query i need to run but before i can do that i need to make the connection   Set oSession = CreateObject("OracleInProcServer.XOraSession")  does not work,  I get an error saying it cant find a specific module.
For that you don't need any VBA. Have a look at Data, Get External Data, New Database Query. If you can't manage to get your data from there, I strongly doubt if you can using the VBA route.
