Hello we are building our first set of virtual servers and we have chosen to run microsoft hyper v that is included with windows 2008 server entrprise edition.<br />
<br />
I have the following questions all related to the installation<br />
Obviously I load window 2008 enterprise as the host operating system however I am confused by what I load when I install the 4 virtual machines. &nbsp; Do I load them all with enterprise versions as well? &nbsp; Historically there are more features in the enterprise editions &nbsp;<br />
When I purchase my CAL's do I purchase them for each virutal machine seperately? &nbsp;Or does an enterpise CAL cover all the virtual machines?<br />

Windows 2008 enterprise and virtual servers installation and licensing help

Microsoft Virtual Server was a virtualization solution that facilitated the creation of virtual machines on the Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows Server 2003 operating systems.
