ISCSI Backup Issue

I have been backing up a file server running server 2003 for the last month to a ISCSI NAS. I started to schedule more backups, with more servers. When I get to the only one running Server 2008 R2, and schedule a backup to the ISCSI, it gives me this error

"One of the specififed source volumes has an invalid format and cannot be protected using Windows Server Backup. Only volumes formatted with NTFS can be protected."

Any clue why?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Is Windows Server Backup 2003 compatible with 2008 R2 as a data source?
If not already done install SP2 for 2003.
