Linux Debian - Multiple thumbnail

Hello,

I am using Linux Debian OS.
I want to create multiple sequential thumbnail image of a movie file like the one in below link.
Sample Link :http://lookpic.com/i/657/j7b0kenz.jpeg  (it not mine, i just findit on net for sample :))

How can i achieve it? Right now i am using dhyana.pl script to get the thumbnail image but its not working well.

Use mplayer to extract the frames from the video.

mplayer -vo jpeg -frames 1 -ss  ...

Then use imagemagik convert to join the frames (-append, -geometry, -tile and -background options)

convert img1.jpg img2.jpg img3.jpg +append result.jpg

I think your problem is too specific to find something ready to use... that do exactly what you want. The tools I gave you are basilar, like hammer and screwdriver... You can do all that you want.
