I am planning to directly upgrade my current backup server running BE 11d v7170 SP5 (running on Windows 2003 Server SP2) to BE 2010. Are there any know issues realted to this? Symantec does state it supports such an upgrade path. Also this server is running BE CPS 11d. I was planning to upgrade that as well. Again... any insight that folks can provide would be appreciated before I dive in.

No known issues. I will backup the catalogs, screenshots of Device Pool etc... just in case something goes wrong.

I was planning on doing the same upgrade and was told by Symantec (I asked while looking into another issue not relevant to the upgrade) there were known issues with SQL BE services not starting afterwards. There was a hotfix available to download via LiveUpdate on version 12.5 but I haven't seen this hotfix for version 11d just the latest being SP5. Backup the C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\Data and Catalogs folder to be on the safe side.
