mod_rewrite translate Lower Case url to Upper Case dir

http://www.domain.com/someotherdir is the link that has been printed on millions of catalogs. http://www.domain.com/SomeOtherDir is the actual directory.  What would the rewrite rule look like to make sure apache redirects to the right directory.   AND is there a rule to write that would cover similar situations in the future.

Options +FollwoSymLinks
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^someotherdir(.*) SomeOtherDir$1 [L]

You could also enable the http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/mod_speling.html - yet there were reports it's slow on missed URLs.
