I have a SBS 2003 and received erro ESE  and event ID: 510 proceed by event 509,510,508 and then 510. this occurred in morning and then not again all day.

Any Thoughts? Indications in event is could be faulty hardware. this is a little vague.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The event id 510 is a performance warning which indicated slow writing
behavior. This issue could be related with the server performance. I would
like to provide you with the following action plan to isolate the problem:
1. Check to see if there are any tasks such as backup scheduled at
12:40 AM. If there are some tasks running on that time, the system may be
very busy at that time and the event could be expected;
2. Use the Isinteg utility to check the logical error of the database
to see if we can fix some logical errors in the database files.
Please run the following command on your Exchange server.
 "Isinteg -s <servername> -fix -test alltests" (without the quotation marks)

Do I need to stop a service (exchange?0) first? it indicates its online.

Also, on this SBS 2003 server I cannot find utility isinteg.

ANy ideas why.

This is a SBS 2003 server that I recently started working with so some knowledge is not up to date.

it is a Dell poweredge 610 run vmware. It has 6 gig of RAM. Server1 is the SBS with Exchange,BackupExec and Server2 is 2003 standard running a Blackberry server primarily.
