Google Analytics Goal URI in Wordpress
Posted on 2010-03-26
In self-hosted Wordpress, the URL of a page that I want to designate as a Goal in Google Analytics is www.mydomain.com/index.php/goalpage in the address bar.
The documentation for Google says that you should not include the domain in the setting for a Goal page. All of their examples however are like /goalpage.html of /goalpage.asp, with a file extension and actual page as opposed to mine which would be /index.php/goalpage or maybe just /goalpage, but that just doesn't seem right.
My question is what do I use for the Goal Page URI in this situation. Does this have anything to do with permalinks?
Thanks a ton.
