SqlServer Management Studio 2008 very slow

Hello,

I have changed from SSMS 2005 to SSMS 2008 on my notebook.
If I access a SqlServer 2008 of a customer from me via vpn-connection then the ssms is very slow. I mean not the excution of the query but the query editor.

Previously on the ssms 2005 I doesnt have the problems.

Can you help me?

Thanks
Reiner

Since your notebook may not be sufficiently powerful to handle the new features in SQL Server 2008, you may consider disabling intellisens:
Tools | Options, Text Editor, Intellisense.

Hello,

thank you acperkins, it's a litte bit better. But the notebook has enough power, the problem is only on remote Databases. On local databases no problems.

Have you any other ideas?

Thank you
Reiner
