How do I sort the tabs in my VMware application to my preference? VMware Workstation 7.0.1 build version.

I have attached an image file to point out what I mean. Please open image attachment first. You will see thee are four OS tabs. I want to be able to sort the tabs to my preference, DDNSServer tab next to the Server02 tab, etc. This should be something simple.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I'm not sure that's possible. Have you tried dragging them to the location you want? I have VMware Server at work but use it minimally (I use vSphere mostly). It may be a reflection of the order you open your VMs? Can you drag/drop the tabs to a different location?

I tried just simply dragging it but to no avail.

rtang626, please use either PNG or JPEG format in future since the BMP file is 7MB in size :)

I am of the opinion that this would not be possible as the Virtual Machines get listed based on the order in which they get created.

Close all the tabs along the top.  Then reopen each machine in the order you want the tabs to appear in.  They should hold their position the next time you open VMWare.
