Use Linksys WRT54G as access point and DHCP
I have a PC that uses 3G USB modem to surf the Internet. Now I want to use my WRT54G as the access point and DHCP so that I can share my Internet with others at home.
I've seen a lot of sites on how to convert WRT54 to become an access point, but I've yet to find a solution that suit my need

This is what i want, http://techrepublic.com.com/5208-6230-0.html?forumID=102&threadID=241714&start=0, I don't mind leaving my PC on (but the guy mind). So how do i like what the guy did?
In this case, why dun you disable the DHCP on the linksys. Just connect your network cable to the LAN port instead of the WAN port.
I would presume that your PC is also connected to the LAN port. In addition, you are also doing ICS on your PC right? So DHCP will be given by the computer. You must turn off the DHCP on the linksys as it will make all computers attached to it to a different gateway.

how do u verify that ics is running in your PC?
Ooooh!!! How do u know that I am from Kuching?..... Scary?!!! Ha ha ha !!! Yes.
Alternatively, its to put the WAN port on fixed IP and then make the DHCP on the linksys work. Then u will have 2 sets of network.

TCM, how do I configure the fixed IP option? As shown on the image, what IP address should i put in the static IP config? Will it be my USD modem IP or the IP of the PC connected to the USB modem.
