Windows 7 - Old driver (XP) and old SCSI card.

The CanoScan FS2710 Scanner that my client owns wants it transferred from his XP box to his new DELL XPS system running Win7 Pro.

I know that I have to install the XP driver (using XP mode) for the scanner since there is no Win7 driver for the scanner.

I will need to take the SCSI card out of the old computer and install it into the new computer.

When the computer is running the Win7 OS will Win7 began to choke because of the SCSI card?

Thanks!

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You should be able to disable it in Device Manager or install the driver in compatibility mode.
