Acrobat Professional 9.0 - "the document could not be printed"

I just upgraded a user at 10.6.2 Snow leopard image. Then she has Acrobat
Professional 9.3.1

When trying to print a pdf file it gave me 4 errors:

1) "the document could not be printed"
2) "There were no pages selected to print"
3) "Print insufficient data image"
4) "A drawing error occurred"

I even tried uninstalling the whole CS 4 design standard and still same
errors occurred. Any ideas?

I do not recommend upgrading a Mac to 10.6.  Too many problems can occur.  IMO, 10.6 needs to be installed from scratch.

You mention an "image".  Did you lay down a 10.6 image, or did you truly upgrade?

If you upgraded the user, I suggest saving all data and laying down 10.6 on either a clean disk or a virgin one.  I require my clients to buy a new drive and we save the old one in case the backup failed or something was overlooked in the backup.

In either case, you will need to reinstall all applications and restore all data.

ASKER

we deployed an image - our company, had gone thorugh rigorous steps to creat this image
deployed image - deleted existing 10.6 OS
OK.

Try restarting AI with the Cmd-Option-Shift keys held down. Say yes to the dialog box that comes up. See if this doesn't help.
I also found this, which is not exactly the same problem, but may be related.

There are a number of issues out on the 'Net for OS 10.6.2 and CS4.  Try searching "OS 10.6.2 CS4 print errors".
I am not using adobe illustrator but adobe acrobat professional 9 and adobe reader 9 and it both gave me error
Other PDF files print fine though
Please explain further your comment "other pdf files print fine, though".  Other pdf files as opposed to what?

I am on the East Coast.  I'm going to sleep.  I will check up with you in the morning.
Other PDF files print fine using acrobat professional 9 . except one specific file which have me the 4 errors in my first post
It's just one particular file?

If that's the case, have you tried copying all the items in the file to another, new, blank Adobe file?  It's possible the file is corrupt, and by copying its contents to a new file, you may get around the corruption.  This process often works for MS Word docs.
But other computers can access the file, the file is on the network drive
Could it be a permissions problem with where you are trying to print it? Copy to a local drive, print on a printer you have access to, see if verify permissions helps (disk utility).
