Have you tried this with cached mode off?

Cached mode causes delays in the mail being displayed in Outlook.

Also have you tried Outlook /safe or /noextensions to verify it is not an add-in like client side Anti-virus that is scanning the message before allowing Outlook to display it?

Hi,

cache mode is off and is disabled by group policy.

the outlook 2003 is a standard default install, and i tested in a machine that do not have any anti-virus installed.

the delay is still exist.

any idea?? many thanks.

Has Powershell sent you back into the Stone Age?

If managing Active Directory using Windows Powershell® is making you feel like you stepped back in time, you are not alone.  For nearly 20 years, AD admins around the world have used one tool for day-to-day AD management: Hyena. Discover why.

Thanks for the points, you could of just accepted your own answer about the windows firewall as the solution though.

Thanks for the points noky. Just for info, in my domain I have the windows firewall disabled while connected to the domain, and up to the user while away, via GPO.
