Urgent!!!: Exchange 2003 - Safe Outlook uninstall MAPI - BES Express

I am trying to install BES Express and it's not working because Outlook has been installed on the same server as Exchange 2003 SP2.

I have been told that uninstalling Outlook can cause problems with the MAPI files and mess up the Exchange Server.

Does anyone know how to safely uninstall Outlook from Exchange without destroying Exchange or having to reinstall Exchange?

Please help...Very Urgent!

I've uninstalled Outlook from an Exchange server many times and never had an issue.

Did you try disabling Outlook from loading in the MSCONFIG first, see if that cleared up your errors?

Blackberry. They said that there is a very specific way to uninstall it without breaking the Exchange Server. They sited this article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/266418

Everything is running fine on Exchange except Blackberry. I don't want to break anything just to get blackberry to work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
That article is in regard to installing outlook on 5.5 or 2000.

Just go uninstall it. ;)
Hi, I have uninstalled outlook 2003 safely from an exchange 2003 server. I don't anticipate any problems, but in case mapi is broken you can fix by running the fixmapi.exe tool at system32 or by reapplying exchange 2003 sp2.

Ok...I will try it. Should I backup any registry keys first?
