Wordpress Post Thumbnails

I have big images with my posts, but I want them to display as thumbnails in the loop.

I only want people to see the full size image if they click on a post and view it in a single post page.

My images are constantly the same size, and I am hoping I can get it to automatically create scaled thumbnails for the loop.

Is this possible? Thoughts?

Search the plug-ins available, from your admin console in wordpress.  There are numerous plug-ins for what you want to do.

Might you suggest one that you have used for this purpose?

I use BlogDesk for posting.  It has a real simple feature to create a thumbnail for images.  It will upload both the thumbnail and the original image to the post.  You can click the thumbnail and the full image will pop-up.

example:  http://www.elvisrecords.us/lpm-1254-elvis-presley/
Just click on any of the images on that page and it will display full image.

Again, nothing added just using BlogDesk. http://www.blogdesk.org/en/index.htm

canon,

Thanks, this is cool,

but not what I am trying to acheive. I am trying to get wordpress to automatically generate thumbnails that show up instead of the full image in the loop. I still want people to be able to view the full post with full size image, comments etc.

Does this make sense?
