PowerPoint 2007 - When I click on a hyperlink, it opens IE in the background, not the foreground

I have inserted a hyperlink into my PowerPoint 2007 presentation.  What I want to have happen is, when I click on the link in the presentation, Internet Explorer will open and play my youtube video.
But what it's doing is, IE opens in the background.  In order to see it, I have to exit the slide show, watch the youtube video, then re-open the slide show.
When I try this on a different machine, it works fine ... IE opens in the foreground.
What could be different about this machine that makes IE open in the background?  Thanks
(I'm using Windows  Vista.)

I wear a lot of hats...

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Any ideas?  I've never "pressed" EE before, but it's my daughter's machine and she has a presentation to do in about an hour!  Thanks again

Moderator ... You may delete this question if you want to.  It could be something very weird on that machine.  Or maybe some kind of user error, since I didn't actually have the luxury of being physically in front of the machine.
Well before you go, I had look through my PPT and I think it's just standard way that PPT plays in fullscreen.
She could  just hit ALT plus TAB key that throws up the desktop and minimises the PPT to the taskbar
