Cognos Datasource for DB2 on z/OS?

I wanted to know the drivers or connector that could be used for creating datasource in cognos 8.4 for DB2 on z/OS. What steps I need to perform on Cognos Administration? I know to configure oracle or DB2 on unix, but not sure on DB@ on OS/2 or mainframe

hi
in order to do so you will need to use a middleware product that knows how to access db2 on zos from your congnos platform.
IBM has such a tool that is called DB2 connect which offers this kind of connectivity.
I have used it before in order to connect cognos to DB2 on zOS.
Once you install db2 connect, you will need to configure an odbc data source for your zOS db2 (just like any other odbc data source in windows) and then you will be able to use that data source in cognos as if it was an oracle odbc data sources

momi,

Can I use ODBC data source for accessing enterprise data? How is the performance? The Cognos server running on Unix, not sure If could support ODBC.  I could create data source for Cognos FM on windows. Let say I installed dbconnect on unix, what driver I need to use to create datasource in cognos server to db2 on os2?

you can use odbc on unix, i have done it with some other product (not cognos) but i'm sure cognos also supports it
when you install db2 connect it will install the drivers you need
