I am having issues with SCCM reportings ervice. MY server is 2008 and I just installed SCCM 2007 SP2 and it is a fresh installation. Now my reporting service is not working. I get a blank screen when I connect to my server. I did all configuration that is advised by technet but no result. Also my WSUS Sync manager is stuck while synchronizing SMS database. very wrired. I did have SP1 working fine and no issue. But it looks so weried now.It only shows me dashboard view but without any entries.
Thanks.

Is your account member of the SMS Reporting Users Group which was created on your SCCM Server?

Guys..I think I need to recreate my site server...I keep getting all different kinds of error on reporting service. IIS 7.0 is full of fun.I will let you know.

recreating the site server should not be neccessarry. Post the errors you get from Reporting Point.
Maybe first reinstalling IIS and the Reporintg Point can solve your issue.
Care: IIS is also needed from other sccm roles like Management Point and so on

Please make sure that you configure IIS 7.0 correctly, for more information check the following article:
How to Configure Windows Server 2008 for Site Systems
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc431377.aspx

Please send erroe regarding MP

on more important point did you configure delegate permission on Active directory System container if not Please open ADUC then show advanced feature - > right click on system container -> delegate control and give SCCM COMPUTER Account full permission then restart SCCM Server.

Let me know if you have more question.

hi a_jaleel
I am wondering do you mean delegating control is to give SCCM server full control under OU..I did that ..I did't do delegate control..I did add server to the security list and give it full control permission..if I delegate control how will it help?I am in process of rebuilding my site server.Lets see how it goes 2ndtime.
My very first installation was so easy going with SP1 on server 2003...I think with server 2008, IIS7 and SCCM SP2 make it very much different!!

Hi,
Please go to Active Directory users and computers, and locate System Container (System OU) and check if there is record to your SCCM Server MP, if not you have to do delegate control, because sccm server should have permission on system container in AD to create record for MP.

@a-Jaleel: The System Management Container is only important if using a AD Schema Extension, but not in this case.
@srabanti_chitte: Could you please remove the mp and reporting point, reset the performance counters in the sccm system status, reinstall the roles and post the errors here.

Dear Merowinger,
if System Management container not configure correctly, sccm will have issues with agent deployment also, this step is recommend as  prerequisite.
I didn't say this is the solution, I just notify srabanti_chitte to check  all prerequisites then start troubleshooting and check for errors.

Thanks

Hi Guys..
ok..I think I know what my issue started with..First of all IE 8 had lot of scripts disabled and didn't allow me to run report properly..also I did change the password and data authentication mode..which basically started the issue.
Merowinger..I haven't seen any issue since I recreated my site server..I started fresh.
A_Jaleel..I did schema extention and give my SCCM server full control under system container. But I didn't delegate control. When I did a virtual lab with MS I found they only asked you to add sccm server on the security list and give it full control.
Thanks for all your time and comments.

The experts provide enough information but there was more issue involved which require fresh installation. I myself didn't provide all errror code.
