Magenta vertical streak on printjob using Canon MFP8450C

On a scan of about 50 pages, towards the middle of the scan job a pinkish vertical line began to show up and got worse throughout the copy.  Any idea what it could be?  After the scan, I printed a document and it was fine.  Seems to be large print jobs...Attached is a picture of what the pages look like.

Do you have a replacement catridge to troubleshoot it? i would start there..
It looks like a scan line to me. Generally issues with the toner will run from top to bottom of the page, but see how this ends at the printable area of the page. I would recommend a thorough cleaning of your scan glass. Use a good streak free haze free cleaner I use windex for mild cleaning and rubbing alcohol for intense. If that doesn't fix it call out your local service professional because you may have a dirty mirror, your lamp may have been overheating or many other issues. But start with a cleaning.

ASKER

Kavlins, you mean replace the magenta cartridge?

Also, it's a brand new MFP...We just got it last week.  We shouldn't have to clean a brand new MFP should we?
