Simply copy a user profile as the default profile

I have created a windows xp3 pc and the profile has all the settings I want.  What I'd like is a simple technique to use sysprep to copy the user profile as the default profile.  I created an unattend.xml file containing just the single line:

I invoke sysprep with the code:

sysprep /generalize unattend:unattend.xml

It seems to work, but is there additional code that must be added, or is it really just this simple?  Have I oversimplified?

you can rename your default profile, just create another user with administrator right and rename your default profile with which one you want then just reboot machine and login that profile.
Using the Sysprep method and the XML file from System Image Manager is the ONLY supported method although I've not had a chance to play with it myself.
Copying profiles around manually or renaming their folders is certainly NOT the thing to do.  You'll notice the ability to copy profiles over Default User from the GUI has been disabled too.

Simply renaming is giving me second thoughts.  The SYSPREP seems to wokr with a single line, but I fear it is just a hig-tech version of renaming at that point.
