MS sql express, 4gb restriction

We are using msql express with current data of 3,68GB. We are planing to upgrade to ms sql 2008 standard but till then i am interested if we will have any problem with 4GB restriction

Database primary data files are using 1,6GB, the other part consist of database transaction log files. Is in the 4GB quota included just primary data files or log files too?

Thank you

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

4 GB limit applies per database with log files excluded and hence its applicable on the data files..
Hence I feel, now you are in the safe stage since you have only around 1.66 GB of data file..
