Failed IIS install

We installed IIS, completed successfully.  But when opening IIS, no web site components appear in the IIS manager.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

ged325,

Can't add a website.  The only option in the 'Add' category is a virtual server.

This is a Windows 2003 server, running IIS6.

Thanks

I've found the IIS.log, and there do seem to be some 'Failed" operations during the install.  I hope this will provide a little more information regarding my issue.

do you have admin privileges on the server?  Ensure BITS is enabled and running.  I would run again with filemon to see if you're getting denied.  Are you installing to C:\ or do you have any mapped drives, can you tell me anything about your environment?
