i am beginner in sms server, i googled it so came to know about kannel. i am having some doubts plz clear it. 
 
1- what is the benefit from kannel, how to use kannel for commercial purpose. 
 
2 - what is smsc 
 
3 - what is playsms 
 
4- what is smpp 
 
5- is scripting required in kannel 
 
6- in my mobile i get lots of promotional sms of different companies, can it be done by

7- when i send my car to workshop for servicing, from workshop i get sms regarding my car status like car no abc 1234 servicing is completed.

what is kannel
