How to turn off Microsoft's SMTP service 'system event logging' for specific event types
I run W3K3 and use the SMTP service (which is contolled via the IIS MMC).
Is there a way to control what SMTP events get logged into MS's System Event log? I want errors only (no warnings, no info). I am aware that I can "filter" the warnings using the event viewer itself so that is not my question.
In the perfect world, I would be allowed to specify what gets logged based on "event ID number" (and not event severity), but I will take what I can get :-)
Thank you, Byron
