I have the standard informant version 2.0 running. i didn't do the configuration, where do i find the community password?
If you know the device info, you may be able to get it from there. (eg: see what the device is trying to use and get that info from the device).

Essentially an SNMP trap is a trigger to PUSH from a device to the server.
SNMP has different flavors of authentication, but you should make sure the community and passwords match.
