Add a USB Printer Port

Hello, I have an Epson Tm-U325 (USB) printer than I'm trying to install.  The printer came with no CD, and the Epson site is of no help.  I have several other of these printers installed through a serial port using the generic/text driver and they all work fine, but this PC does not have a serial or parallel port.  this is a new PC running XP pro, but it does not have a USB port available.  I've read that I should install another USB printer that would create the USB printer port, but thats not an option.   Is there any way that I can add the USB printer port manually?

thanks,

Just to be clear, there is a physical USB port, just no USB printer port.

How are you going to connect the printer to the computer? What kind of cable?

OK, there is NO USB printer port available... thats what I need help with.  The only options are LPT, COM, FAX, FILE... If I want to create a new port, the USB option is not there.  There has to be a way to add a USB printer port with out installing another USB printer.

I have downlopaded that and installed on the PC, but it is not a printer installation application.  It can find the printer, but gives no option to install or print.

And so far you've installed both the POS TMUSB Identifier Utility and the EPSON OPOS ADK from the POS support website?
This model is really built to support Serial or Parallel port connection (like your existng printers) and the USB connector is an add-on board.  It is the driver for the USB board that you need (which will create a printer port in XP) - then the normal printer drivers.

There are four USB boards available for this range:
- U01III (Includes board marked U02III & U03II)
- U01II or U02II
- U04
- U09
Do you know which is attached to the printer you are trying to install?
