Convert .mov video made in iPhone to ...

How can I convert .mov video made in iPhone to some other formats like .wmp etc?

I have downloaded the clip in question to a windows xp machine I am more familiar with. I have access to an Apple computer as well but I prefer XP at this point.

Thank you.

Hi eghtebas,

Try this MOV converter :

You can use a converter to do this.  There are numerous free converters out there.  I would recommend the DVD Video Soft or the Xilisoft converters.

ASKER

Neilsr, The link after download, requires to purchase the download before it is activated. After the download, I had to uninstall it.

Now, I will move to the next link from EnriquePhoenix.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi EnriquePhoenix,

Your link, after the conversion (from .MOV to .WMP) has the video rotated 90 degrees counter-clickwise.

How can I make it to keep the video orientation as it is in the original video?

Thx
Neilsr,

I will try it again.
Hi Neilsr,

It puts a water mark in the middle of the video. I used the default options to install it; may be this is why it is asking for activation (and it installs version 6 instead of 1.2).

I did unstalled it to try it again.

Also, similar to the link from EnriquePhoenix, after conversion, the converted video is rotated 90 degrees counter-clickwise???

Hi Neilsr,

I got the right version now. But, after the conversion, it rotates the video 90 degrees. How can I correct this?

Thanks

Mike
please see:

for the follow up question on the video orientation after the conversion.

Thanks.
I got the a solution:

I was filming portait with my iPhone and during the conversion it was rotated.

iPhone:
--------------------------
|                                 |                                                          _____________________________________
|                                 |                  display                           |                                                                                     |
|                                 |                 after conversion            |                                                                                     |
|                                 |                --------------->                    |                                                                                     |
|                                 |                                                           |                                                                                     |
|                                 |                                                           |                                                                                     |
|                                 |                                                          |                                                                                     |
|                                 |                                                          -----------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------

But, when I filmed it holding the iPhone horizpntally, it came out right. If not clear at this point, you need to try it to see it.
