Public Folder Database .

Dear Expert

am trying to uninstall the mailbox role from 2 servers participate in a given DAG , i delete all malboxes for all users then i removed all user-defined DB's from both servers , i succeeded to clean the second server to not have any DB , then i was able to remove it from the DAG and uninstall the role , when it comes to the first server , i still have 2 built in DB's MAILBOX xxxxxxx DB ( by the way i dont know for what this DB is used ) and the public folder DB , I can't remove them , i get this error

Couldn't mount the database that you specified. Specified database: Public Folder Database xxxxx ; Error code: An Active Manager operation failed. Error: An Active Manager operation encountered an error. The server must be a member of a database availability group, and the database availability group must have quorum in order to perform this operation. Error: The Cluster service is not running. [Server].

i try to start the cluster service but it does not , moreover I miss the cluster Name that was running the DAG when start the failover cluster snap-in ... in addition I tried to use the CMDLET Mount-Database -Identity "Mailbox Database xxxxxxx " -Force , I use the command  ESEUTIL /p , but without succeeded for both , could anyone experience this before  ? am looking also to clean them from the ADSIEdit if they are present there ... i need a help ?

the ADSIEdit part is rather easy

connect to "Configuration-> Services->Microsoft Exchange->YourExchangeOrgnaizationName->Administrative Groups->Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)->Databases->

delete what you want.

Yes i did , I removed the second Server from the DAG , regarding ADSIEDIT shall i have a problems when remove them manually , does the deletion will be reflected on every objects located on the active directory regarding these DB's , i don't want to get in troubles cause i will reinstall the whole exchange organization without need to extend the schema again .

Simplify Active Directory Administration

Administration of Active Directory does not have to be hard.  Too often what should be a simple task is made more difficult than it needs to be.The solution?  Hyena from SystemTools Software.  With ease-of-use as well as powerful importing and bulk updating capabilities.

I mean did you remove the server giving you problems from the DAG ?

try to delete the DAG completely before.

Deleting from ADSIEdit will remove them completely from AD but it is better to keep this as last resort

Dear

No the causing server is the first server , i meant the second server has been removed , then i can't delete the DAG since it has the first server (PAM - primary active mailbox ), and to remove it (the DAG) , i must  delete all the active DB's presented on this server before trying to remove this server from the DAG , the last DB's is these 2 DB's , they are not mounted .

Dear .

Please Correct me if am wrong ??

It's VM , Yes it can be deleted , i want to avoid this option , as this choice might make a troubles in the future since all objects related to this server would still presented on the Active directory DB , i need properly uninstall it to clear these objects cause am going to install the whole exchange organization again but in the same domain .

Now the Question is , Would this choice will be fine if am going to install the Exchange organization again in the same domain ???? I doubt !!!
