Hyper-V broken after MS updates

We updated our 2 Hyper-V host servers with all latest patches. The VM's are running, but you cant copy VHD templates over to Host to create new VM's any longer. You also cant apply a snapshot. Just applied a snapshot to 1 of my VM's and now the VM is broken. It wont start up, roll back or forward.
It just says "Starting" in the HyperV manager and there is an error on screen " An error occured while attempting to apply the snapshot. The computer 'localhost' failed to perform the requested operation.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

We have a similar problem.  Same errors - but only one child server is not responding.

OK.  So, we re-started the Parent Server and then simply recreated the Virtual Machine using the existing hard disk.  We had to put the Static IP information back into the Child's nic once it was back online but everything seems to be back to normal.

However, I cannot find any useful information on the 18160 error to help us determine what caused this.  So far online I see two possibilities - Power failure - which does not seem possible in our case as no systems are reporting that - or an updates issue.
