Log Off Disconnected User

Hello Experts

Is there any way we can identify disconnected user and log then off automatically.

Any example would be really appreciated. please point me to the right direction.

I use the Group Policy - Computer Config->Admin Templates->Windows Components->Terminal Services->Terminal Server->Session Time Limits. I set "Set time limit for disconnected sessions" to 1 hour, Terminate session when time limits are reached to Enabled. That should automatically log them out without scripting it.

I have used psshutdown in the past to log off users who are no longer at their computers. The only problem with this is that there is no real way to tell if someone is just working really late or if their computer is idle.

I would suggest using the psshutdown with the -o and -m switches.

Follow the instructions from the below link. You can add the other settings as well when creating the group policy.
