Writing Textfile From One Server To Another Server

Hello programmers.  I have the following vb.net script attempting to create a textfile from one server to another.  When I run it from my vb.net development version of the project on my local computer (Host) logged into windows xp it works.  However, when I attempt to run it from my intranet server I get the following error message.  Can someone help me with where this error might be resolved.  Here is what i did to try and resolve the problem:
1. I created on the intranet server a short cut to the folder on the external server and made sure the permissions for all users local windows logins were set.

2. I tried mapping the external server/folder directly onto the intranet server

3. On my local computer(host) I am mapped to the server/drive, maybe that's why it works in my vb.net development version.

3. Is there some sort of login script (il.e. administrative, etc.) that needs to be added to the output file script below?

'Dim outputfile As New System.IO.StreamWriter("\\fman\Vo\Acct\BT_2k\blinetxtapp_2k\Blin1.txt")

From the description, it looks like it is ASP.NET right? What authentication are you using? Looks like the anonymous user is trying to access the other server. Try using windows authentication or give anonymous user access to the shared folder.

You're correct, it is ASP.NET and VB scripting.  How do I use windows authentication in a web form such as this.  is it part of the vb script?  Thanks.

Is asp.net a user? can I add it as a permission onto the folder on the other server I'm trying to save the file to?  Thanks.

Yes. There is a user for ASP.NET. You can try giving the permission but i am not sure if it would work.
