ARP broadcasts are perfectly normal in a TCP/IP networking environment and are used to find the hardware address (Ethernet MAC address) for an IP address.

I just installed wireshark and I noticed numerous arp broadcasts from 2 of my domain controllers and a Windows server 2008. Last time i installed a wireshare and ran it, I don't recall those systems sending numerous broadcasts. I might be wrong.
