I got DSL installed at my apartment, they tagged the outside line and I have 1 jack in my apartment that was not connected to anythiung when I took the faceplate off. Behind the faceplate there are 3 solid wires, not a standard phone cable with pairs in it.
I tried connecting the wires just guessing but to no avail. I have a toner now so I can do some more work but I don't know exactly what to do. So below are a few questions that I would like some help with.
1. Do I need to do anything else outside? There are 4 screws, the blue/white are on the bottom two, do I need to do anything with them or the top 2 screws?
2. Do I just connect the toner to the pair outside and use the wand inside to identify the correct wires?
3. Do I use the red/green wires on the jack?
