Services.exe consuming 40% CPU


I have a Windows 2003 SP2 server and the CPU is running at near 100% causing the application to degrade.

I checked Task Manager and the services.exe process is taking up about 40%

Any idea on how to troubleshoot this one?

services.exe is windows  program that control the services which are start at boot time and it also for disk caching. so please remove your temp file and recent files.

type recent and temp in run's textbox and delete the files, which are displayed.
If you install ProcessExplorer, you might find some more details about what program is causing this.
