SSAS Connectivity Issue

I installed SQL Server 2008 on my desk top and now using SSMS I am able to connect and use the database engine. However when I try to connec Anaysis Servers I get the error message: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it What do I need to do?
1 Solution
1) Verify: (1) is the SSAS service running, and (2) is the SQL Browser service running?

2) Re-install everything without an instance name, just the default instance

3) Also Refer:

TCP Provider: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it
