add scroll bar to Joomla Module class suffix for custom html module

Hello I am currently trying to add a scroll bar to a custom module on Joomla 1.5.12 and am not sure how to go about doing it from what I have seen you can add it to the module class suffix of the module then edit the css coding to get it to work but nothing I have done has work any help would be appreciated thanks.

A link may be helpful.

But you could do something like this:

.srcoll {
width: 875px;
height: 370px;
overflow: auto;
overflow-x: hidden;
overflow-y: scrolling;
white-space: nowrap;
}

Then in your module suffix simply write scroll

Or find the div that the module is sitting it (I could tell you if you showed a link )
but then you could do this

#scroll {
      width: 875px;
      height: 370px;
      overflow: auto;
      overflow-x: hidden;
      overflow-y: scrolling;
      white-space: nowrap;
}

Then add this <div id="scroll"> to the div holding your module.

Both should work

I did the first one because that is what I am wanting to do just on this module it is in the left inset but it is not working.   I do edit the template.css file right and can I put that in the file where ever or does it need a specific location I do notice it says unwriteble but I check the file after I save it and it still has my data in there.

For the web page it is colemantechllc.com/cmstest and I only want a scroll bar for the latest news section

Figured it out I copied your text up top and scroll was spelled wrong changed it in the css and it worked thanks.
