Windows 7 Home premium-Network Issue

Have 2 computers on a network running Windows 7 Premium.  Could not map a drive top 2000 server.  Enabled guest on server and hooks up to  drive.  However, on the folders that need to be accessed still cannot get two.  Indicates password issue.  I have changed permissions and still same issue.  ?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

to be honest, windows 7 premium is not meant to work on a server environment, I have only installed windows 7 pro for domain based pc's.

sorry for double post but for home networks windows 7 would be able to share but all systems have to be password protected.  Do you get prompt for a password when you attempt to open the shared folder?

I know, the people bought these 2 computers without consulting with anyone.  I was hoping to facilitate a solution for them.

Windows 7 Pro is basically just like windows xp pro, able to join the pc to the domain map you drives etc.  Where as with premium you do not have that option.
